New Years Cinnamon Waffles

Cinnamon Honey Waffles
Makes 4 waffles
Waffle Ingredients
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp kosher salt
2 large eggs, separated
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups almond milk
2 tsp Potli Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp butter, melted
Topping
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
3 Tbsp Potli Honey*
1/4 tsp cinnamon
6 strawberries, halved
1 banana, sliced
Maple syrup, to serve
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, add all-purpose flour, light brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder,
and salt. Gently whisk together.
In a medium bowl, beat egg whites with a stand mixer until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
In a separate medium mixing bowl, mix egg yolks, vegetable oil, almond milk, Potli Apple
Cider Vinegar, and vanilla extract. Pour the egg yolk mixture into the dry ingredients and
mix well.
Gently fold in the egg whites with a spatula until incorporated.
Heat waffle maker according to manufacturer’s instructions. Once hot, lightly brush the top
and bottom with melted butter.
Pour 1/2 cup batter into the waffle maker, making sure to coat the surface completely.
Close the lid and cook for about 4-5 minutes, until golden brown.
To make Cinnamon Honey Butter: Mix room temperature butter, Potli honey, cinnamon
until uniform.
To keep waffles warm: Place in a 200oF oven until ready to serve.
To serve: Add a dollop of cinnamon honey butter on top of waffles and top with sliced
strawberries and bananas. Finish with maple syrup.
